The Urban Sidewalker team brought together the top view and the meticulous artwork in a project that fixed itself in our mind immediately. They make graphics and posters in an innovative way.
A designer and a psychologist are given - Balázs Egri and Máté Révay - and an idea: would people be interested in a miniature graphic showing the details of the inner districts of Budapest? That looks good on the wall of an apartment or an office and that would be a perfect souvenir. As they love the city as much as we do, Balázs and Máté want to endear the city with everyone. In a way that they show the most detailed faces of Budapest in incredibly detailed graphics.

The final picture needs 120 work hours to be ready in monochrome version. After that, the freehand graphics is digitized, and they make the colorings and minor corrections as well. Of course, no one can ask for 100% perfect representation, all the more so, because couple of buildings appear in a turned position, from another point of view for the more detailed design. But this is not confusing at all, rather an interesting feature of the graphic. To notice every fineness of these maps we need several hours: a giraffe is grazing in the Zoo, there is a taxi on Gellért square and an old lady tries to cross the street with her walking stick.
