Don’t miss it: Rod Stewart comes to Budapest
Posted by Budnews · Jan 2, 2018

He returns to Hungary after 8 years.

One of the biggest British rock stars returns to Hungary right at the beginning of the New Year. Sir Rod Stewart brings his newest show to Budapest on 29 January, and we can’t wait to see!

Rod Stewart has a magical, unique voice that made him one of the biggest stars: he was selected twice to be a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is one of the world's best selling singers, who has sold more than 200 million albums over the past five decades. His successes include six consecutive number one albums in the UK, including 62 hits, 16 of which were among the top ten in the US charts. And - which is the coolest thing one can achieve - Stewart became a knight for his musical and charity work in 2016.

Stewart brings his biggest hits to us, including songs such as Sailing, The First Cut Is The Deepest, Rhythm Of My Heart, Baby Jane or Maggie May, so make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to see this charming man live in Budapest. Until then, here are some fun facts about him:

  • Rod Stewart began his musical career after spending some time as an apprentice with the Brentford Football Club.
  • At the beginning of his career he was deported from Spain for vagrancy.
  • Stewart went on to join the Small Faces with Ron Wood (later of Rolling Stones fame). After a reshuffle of roles the band’s name was shortened to The Faces.
