Night of Motion
Posted by Katalin Török · Jun 23, 2014

On the 28th of June, Heroes’ Square and its area will become a playground for those who seek active leisure. On that night, 10+1 sports can be practiced for free from 10 pm ’till early morning – some of that you already know and some less ordinary as well.

Regular exercising is the cornerstone of a healthy lifestyle. Finding the sport that fits you well is not always an easy thing, and sports choosing events are always good to try something new and step out of your comfort zone. The purpose of Night of Motion is to make several sports available for everyone. During a night event starting from 10 pm, you can try the following sports:

The Heroes’ Square will become a giant table tennis arena, you can play badminton at illuminated fields in Városliget, try kayaking or dragonboats with your friends or colleagues in the boating lake right next to the castle of Vajdahunyad, or have some fun practicing Zumba or by participating at the night’s salsa festival.

Of course classic sports will be part of the range – Andrássy street will become a track for runners on different distances, the city will be explorable by bike (with amazing sights with the lights on), and two swimming pools join the initiative, so you can go swimming for a very fair price.

Everything will be free of charge, but at some of the competitions – such as running races and the bycicle tour – you can only participate if you’ve registered. Visit Night of Motion’s web-site for time schedule and registration.
