Great program option for the weekend!
This year, the World Tour Guides Day is being held for the 20th time, which we especially like because you can once again get to places you normally wouldn't - and you can explore the area with tour guides - and they always give you new knowledge and experiences. Such is the visit to the Conti Street prison, where Cardinal Mindszenty was held, but you can also get to know Viziváros, the royal palace or the Hárshegy district on an exciting guided walk.
Although most of the walks, boat and bus trips are already full, there are still quite a few that you can register for or there are still places, so it's worth browsing the event page. For example, there are still places available to visit the prison on Conti Street, the treasure hunt on Margitsziget and the MÁV station walk. What's more, it's worth checking out programs outside of Budapest, because there will be exciting walks in Dunakeszin, Esztergom, Gödöllő, Sopron and Vác.
