From 7 to 9 November, you can enjoy a special wine festival in Hungary, held in Danubius Hotel Gellért and Gellért Spa. Don’t miss it.
In Hungary, there are several customs concerning food and drink on St. Martin’s Day. One of these says that we should eat goose, so that we can avoid starving during the next months, and one other assures us about the health care effect of drinking a lot on this feast, held traditionally on 11 November.

Well, this year, with the theme Wines, Geese, Hotels, the wine festival will be organized here for the fourth time. The festival will be held at Danubius Hotel Gellért and Gellért Spa Hall: these locations will form a special and spacious place for the St. Martin’s Day Wine Festival, and for a great celebration of new wines and goose dishes.
Almost 100 wineries, goose and other special dishes will show the diversity and variegation of this festival, and besides the chef working in Hotel Gellért, other four chefs from countryside hotels known for their excellent cuisine will get the opportunity to present themselves.
As part of the gastro-adventures, the “gourmet suite” will be opened at the 422 deluxe apartment, and every guest is invented to the after party, to Gellért Spa, too, just like to the Martin’s Day Sunday brunch, at the end of the St. Martin’s Day Wine Festival.
