… for everybody. Budapest has so many good programs this weekend that it’s hard to bear in mind, even for us. Therefore we collected the best 6 programs to help you. (After all, everyone can do “top 5” list.)
VI. Belgian Beer Festival, that is held from May 15 to 17 is a must every year. We can meet such specialties as Delirium Argentum, the festive-released edition of Delirium, the new Duvel Triple Hop, or the Averbode made from three different types of grain. Beside the newbies, the popular classics can’t be missing as well: the visitors can taste more than 200 kinds of Belgian beers, including 50 kinds of draft beer. The choice is not only enormous, but also extremely diverse, so everyone is guaranteed to find their own favorite.

LEGO Store Show
If we are child in spirit, than instead of the beer festival (or before) visit the LEGO Store Show, which is basically a huge LEGO® empire, where fans can build the city of the future (LEGO® Build the Change™). Following the example of LEGO® tower building last year, the organizers dreamed a huge playroom, where we can play with more than 3 million LEGO cubes, meet all important brands of LEGO, and play with more than twenty LEGO games, designed only for this occasion. Visitors can "jump” into the huge LEGO sandbox consisting of more than half a million cubes, participate in courage tests, get acquainted with the mysteries of LEGO® Technic and LEGO® MINDSTORMS®, and try the latest LEGO Star Wars ™, LEGO® DUPLO®, LEGO City and LEGO Friends games.

Downtown Cheese Festival
We recommend one more gastronomic festival for this weekend: the artisan cheese festival with the participation of more than 40 cheese makers, with the “Cheese of the year” public vote, cheese making workshops and folklore programs. We can taste the best domestic and international craft cheese with the finest wines, brandies and artisan beers, but the event is more than a classic festival, because we can not only taste the special delicacies, but also learn their preparation: the most renowned cheese masters demonstrate the cheese making process on the spot.

Floralia - Roman spring festival in Aquincum
If the weather is nice on the weekend, visit the open-air Floralia festival. The Aquincum Museum organizes one of the most celebrated events of Roman era for the 26th time. During the program visitors can get an insight into the life of the ancient Rome: get acquainted with the ancient lifestyle and watch handicraft presentations. We can see the battle of Roman soldiers, gladiators and Celtic warriors, the parade of the legions and even gladiator fights. We can try out the weapons of the invading legions or make jewelry, shoes, ceramic pots and medals. And to feel ourselves really festive: young florists adorn the museum and the ruins with Roman-inspired flower compositions.

HungaroCon
If you know what Comic Con is, and your year is unimaginable without it, you will also like the HungaroCon. Our favorite program is the Cosplay Contest for serious prizes: get dressed in your favorite sci-fi character or a superhero, and register for the contest! Role-playing, card and strategic competition game: M.A.G.U.S, Star Wars, Cyberpunk, Warhammer 40k, Legend of the Five Rings and Vampire: The Eternal Struggle are all on the list. And of course there will be presentations, roundtable discussions, writing workshops and interactive programs from board games to quiz competition.

Ludovika Festival
We left the most masculine program at the end: the policing festival of the National University of Public Service. In the Orczy Park you can view spectacular military, police and disaster management programs; there will be close combat demonstration, police dog demonstration and the traditional military parade as well. There will be musical formality and military close combat demonstrations, explosive detection dog show, technical rescue demonstration with wreck cutting and the Counterterrorist Center will also hold an exciting presentation.
