Here we are again with another food related event, starring the uncrowned King and Queen of Hungarian gastronomy: pálinka and sausages. Save the date: October 2-4.
There is a festival almost every weekend in the Hungarian capital, but we can’t get tired of them. This time a real Hungaricum festival will be held in the Buda Castle with our favorites: pálinka and sausage. Both of them are a hungaricum, and they quite fit together. The noblest pálinkas, food specialties, sumptuous sausage supply and gin specialties await visitors during these three days. And of course the festival also offers many cultural program (mainly folk music and folk dance performances) to the visitors in addition to the and culinary specialties and the spirits.

The ninth Buda Castle Pálinka and Sausage Festival is hosted in one of the finest sites of the capital, the Castle Hill. More precisely, on the romantic Savoy terrace in the Buda Castle, where we can meet the best products of twenty pálinka distillery and ten professional sausage maker. Of course, in such events the high quality alcohol consumption is in the focus not binge drinking, so be careful! As fine the pálinka is, you can get drunk so easily. Although if we eat some greasy meat, the situation can improve a lot.
Fun fact: Did you know that Gyulai Sausage and pálinka gained international fame in the World's Fair in Brussels in 1910?
