Ráday Street departing from Kálvin Square is mostly famous for its restaurants. Here you will find the Michelin-star Costes restaurant, a popular community space and ruin pub called Rombusz, the Goethe-Institut, Germany's cultural institute, Púder Bar-Theatre and Gallery and a thousand other things. And on this weekend, the street itself will be filled with fun, music, art and gastro. There will be programs as sightseeing walks, contest of set tables (which is a gastro-design contest), guitar festival or a fashion show, during which Ráday Street will transform into red carpet. The organizers tried to find diverse programs for people of all ages and interests, and we think they made it. But let’s see the best programs one by one.

Guitar festival:

The aim of the guitar festival is to let the guitar players, the fans of the musical instrument and guitar music lovers meet. So the event would become some kind of free guitar university. Everyone can come and participate: those who play guitar only for themselves and professional musicians too.

Contest of set tables:

What does a feast worth without a proper table setting and decorations? Nowadays, the design is as much part of the gastronomy as the food itself. And it’s exactly the point of this contest of set tables. The restaurants, cafes and shops of the street compete for the “most beautiful tableware” title for the second time. The jury will be the general public, so come and help us decide!

Fashion show on Ráday Street:

For one weekend, Ráday Street will transform into red carpet. The fashion show is the joint project of several secondary art schools, an artistic movement of the students and teachers. Actually, it will be much more than that: a spectacular, musical, choreographed carnival event, a real costume parade.

Open mic - joint, colorful performances with audience participation

The open mic is a really cool live performance, where the audience can take possession of the stage. Beginner musicians have the opportunity to test themselves, to demonstrate their knowledge with these musical open mic performances. The joint productions will take place after the show of the professional performers, together with them.

Walks:

We left the best for the end: there will be special walks through the inner Ferencvaros, during which you can admire the beautiful buildings and public spaces of the area on a guided tour. And the reason why this is our favorite is that during the tour we have to go through the guitar festival, the attractions of set table contest and the fashion show programs. All in one.
