1. Sziget Festival:

From the 11^th to 18^th of August, Sziget Festival will be organised in Budapest, for the 22^nd time. It was originally invented to be a community area, a place to find new people, new musical influences. Nowadays, this is a festival where you can spend more than a week with old and new pals. It begins with concerts on the Day 0 – this year on the 10^th of August, and ends with an End Show on the last day. You can enjoy here a week with different programs and listening to your favourites in different musical styles.

2. EFOTT

From the 15^th to 20^th of July, EFOTT Festival will be organised in Miskolc, Miskolctapolca. The festival offers rock, hip-hop and electro music and the iconic pop bands of the nineties, for example Mr. President, Brooklyn Bounce, Haddaway, Vengaboys and of course some Hungarian pop and rock bands. This festival is originally for students who arrive from different parts of the country and this guaranties the special ambiance for the program.

3. Balaton Sound

Balaton Sound festival will be organised for the 8^th time, from the 10^th to 13^th July, in Zamárdi. The festival is for anyone, tourists and Hungarian people, as well, who like electronic beats, love to party and enjoy the beauty of the Balaton-region. It is unbelievable to dance with the Balaton or with the beautiful Tihany Abbey in the background...

4. VOLT Festival

If you are looking for a festival near the Austrian border, Volt Festival is the one for you. This festival will start on the 1^st of July and will last till the 6^th of July in Sopron. People who have already visited this festival are likely to return because of the friendly ambiance of a “big festival” which is not too big at the same time.

5. Fishing on Orfű

Since 2008, Fishing on Orfű became one of the most popular Hungarian festivals. This year, it will be organised from the 18^th to 21^st of June, at the Panorama camping, Orfű lake, near Pécs. The festival is often said to be the most friendly, alternative festival in Hungary, suggested especially for students, young people and adventurers who are opened for new experiences in music and in life.

On stage this year: especially Hungarian bands, for example Kispál és a Borz, Pál utcai fiúk, Ozone Mama, Plastic Bitch, Foo Lighters.

A new festival is born in Hungary: Feszt!Eger will be organised this year for the first time in Eger, from the 16^th to 18^th of May. The festival offers programs for every ages and concerts from the best Hungarian music bands. The event will be located in the nice Losonczy valley, next to several wineries. If you are in Hungary in May, don’t miss it.
