Wow: this is Hungary’s most expensive burger
Posted by Mia Balogh · Nov 13, 2020

The Hundredbuck$Burger will be available from 18 November in Szeged, but the exclusive meal comes with a price tag which might make you think twice about the tasting.

A few years ago I enjoyed a nice lunch somewhere in the downtown of Budapest, and I remember how surprised we were with my friends when I discovered a hamburger for more than 6000 HUF (16 EUR) on the menu of the restaurant. I thought this was quite expensive, no matter how delicious this burger might have been. Well, I had no idea that in 2020, a six times more expensive hamburger will be created in Hungary.

To be more precise, the luxury burger will be available in Szeged, in the Famous – Steak, Burger & More restaurant, from 18 November, and this delicacy will be only made for orders, maximum twice a day – delmagyar.hu writes.

And the price, well, the name Hundredbuck$Burger is not a coincidence: it will cost 37 990 HUF (105 EUR), so it is even more than hundred dollars – 123, to be precise.

Why is it so expensive?

Well, probably because of the ingredients: the burger will be made with 250 grams of wagyu beef, covered in edible gold. Furthermore, goose liver with garlic, Roquefort blue cheese, truffles and madeira sauce from Portuguese red wine will be also put into the black buns coloured with the ink of squid.

This delicacy will be served with a bottle of Louis Francois champagne, fries with parmesan cheese and mayonnaise with garlic. The first ten costumers receive a cap and those who want a photo, will get it on the spot, of course.

If you decide to taste this burger anyway, it is also good to know that you will be able to tell about yourself that you will have tried one of most expensive hamburgers in the world – because the Hundredbuck$Burger is also on this illustrious top 10 list.
