The Italian designer duo Dolce & Gabbana masterfully combines traditional look and precise implementation, whether it is clothes, accessories or recently headphones.
One of the most striking pieces of the current collection is headphones, which were virtually redefined: they created real headdress of the boring, corded version which we are unable to take our eyes off. The headphones worn by the models are made of leather and are fully covered in the brand’s signature jewellery, embellished with materials like pearls, gold chains, Swarovski crystals and velvet across the earpieces and bridge.
They were initially thought to be catwalk collaboration only, but Australian tech brand Frends has confirmed that two of the original catwalk versions (a bejewelled red-leather style and a green-leather version) became reality, and these two have officially landed on the American online retailer Moda Operandi. The flower-gilded and beaded headphones costs $7095 but for the furry version we have to pay more, $7990 dollars.
The fashion house, by the way, tries to find a woman-centered approach to its show in every season. This year the focus was on motherhood: pregnant mannequins and mother-daughter duos also marched on the catwalk.
