Balmain x H&M

Are you a fashionista? Then we are sure that you can’t wait Balmain x H&M collaboration’s items to be finally available in shops on 5 November. Are we right? Well, we don’t have a time machine to take you there but we can provide an article about the collection – reading may make time go a little bit faster.

5 November is a really important date – not only for Hungarian James Bond fans, who have been waiting for Spectre for months, and can enjoy the movie in Hungarian cinemas from this day on, but also for fashionistas worldwide. This Thursday will be the release date of Olivier Rousteing’s eagerly anticipated collection, Balmain x H&M. Fans worldwide can’t wait to see and to touch these clothes – already seen on social media sites and international websites several times – for the first time personally. Only a few days left, but waiting may be hardest at the end.

As a hardcore fashion fan (and of course fan of Balmain and H&M) I feel the same, but I am really happy because I don’t have to travel abroad or surf the internet for the best pieces of this collection – I can choose and purchase my favourite items in Budapest, in the H&M shop at Vörösmarty Square, too. I’m sure that the queuing won’t be short, but it is really worth it.

Some items of this collection were first shown in May this year. After that, H&M revealed in October the official campaign for the collaboration, unveiling models Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Jourdan Dunn, Hao Yun Xiang and Dudley O’Shaughnessy (who you’ll recognise from Rihanna’s We Found Love video) as the stars and latest soldiers of Olivier Rousteing’s #BalmainArmy. He also said that the models are his friends, and he loves them very much.

The campaign was shot by the well known fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, and shows the models posing in numerous looks from the collection. It seems to be the world's most overdressed subway train ride.

Balmain x H&M collection will cover womenswear, menswear and accessories. With tuxedo jackets, furry coats, military jackets, satin trousers, monochrome jumpsuits, and loads of Balmain's trademark embellishment, this is a really unique collection that combines the elements of the French high fashion and the wearability and comfort of H&M clothes.

Accessories aren't forgotten either. Choose one of the chunky necklaces and cuffs, oversized rings, massive earrings, clutches and armour-like belts, you can be sure that you will have a little bit extreme but super accessory.

“The #BALMAIN world is about confidence and attitude, very French and rich yet effortless with a cool vibe,” writes Rousting in a Twitter Q&A. “The #Balmain men and women are warriors.”

Clothes and accessories will be available online, in H&M webshops and 250 shops worldwide. What will be your choice of these items?
