If you hear Sasha Baron Cohen’s name, you might think of his crazy characters like Bruno, Borat or Ali G. But now, in the new Netflix series ‘The spy’ he shows his more serious side: in the drama based on a true story, he plays an Israeli spy, Eli Cohen, who was sent to Syria in the 1960s for a secret mission. Although he wanted nothing else but to serve his country, and he did that so well that in the end he could not get rid of his ‘other self’ – as the original description says.

‘The spy’ was shot last year in Budapest, Sasha Baron Cohen and his wife Isla Fisher even visited Sziget Festival back then.
