Budapest is a good choice even if you have to work remotely, according to a new report: our capital is fifth on the list.
The Remote Working Index report by Broadband Deals looked at 50 of the world's most popular cities, ranking them based on the following factors: average internet speed, availability of food delivery, the remote working jobs available, the cost of a laptop, and the cost of living.
According to the ranking, Bucharest, Houston and Las Vegas are the three best cities for remote work, followed by Atlanta in the US and Budapest.
In our capital, you can have fast internet speeds of 41 Mbps, while the cost of living is GBP 470.39 per month, and 2.33% of the jobs give workers the opportunity for remote working.
We are not only surprised that Bucharest is the first in the compilation but also by seeing the last city on the list which is Rome, with only 0.61% of the jobs offering the work from home option, internet speed of 16 Mbps and relatively high cost of living, GBP 729.18 per month.
