These beaches are already open in Budapest

Some of the beaches and lidos reopened for the last weekend of May, for the Children’s Day but some historic and popular baths still remain closed.

Although it was not sure when the beaches, lidos, spas and pools in Budapest can be reopened for the upcoming summer season, we have some good news for the water fun lovers: some of the beaches in the capital are awaiting us again.

From the past weekend, 30 May, lidos such as the Római Strandfürdő, Palatinus, the Csillaghegy Árpád, the Paskál and the outer baths and gardens in Aquaworld reopened, We Love Budapest writes.

Tickets (except for Aquaworld) can be bought here: http://jegyvasarlas.budapestgyogyfurdoi.hu/ and new rules must be obeyed just like paying attention to social distancing, wearing flip-flops and frequent handwashing.

If you prefer the seashore atmosphere, you can enjoy this, too on Lupa Beach which awaits us again from 22 May.

The bad news is that the most popular ones like Gellért and Széchenyi baths will remain closed for a while. Lukács, Rudas, Veli Bej are also closed, just like Király and Dandár. But we really hope that as the restrictions in the country and in the capital are eased gradually, these baths can be reopened soon.
