The Budapest Marriott Hotel announced a call for tenders in which the best food-and-beverage concept will get the opportunity to open a restaurant or bar on the Danube Promenade. Sounds good? You can already apply to their tender.

If you adore the Hungarian capital, and you dream about opening your own excellent restaurant or bar in Budapest, here is your opportunity. The Budapest Hotel Marriott announced a tender for applicants who have some experience in the food-and-beverage industry, and who could not open their own bar or restaurant in the capital so far.

The five-star hotel offers now a 110-square-meter space with financial support (40 000 USD) and the international hotel chain’s logistical expertise for a candidate, who comes out as the lucky winner after the tender.

Applicants, who can be individuals or teams, have time until 17 June to submit their concept. They have to detail their business plan, their menu, and design ideas, as well. After that, five selected applicants (or competitor teams) must be available for a cook-off competition and presentation of their ideas on June 23rd or 24th, in front of hotel general manager Rick Enders and well-known persons of the Hungarian gastronomy. They will judge the concept and the dishes, and then we will know who the winner of the tender is.

It is very important, that the applicants can make their dreams come true without having to invest their own money, owing to a 40 000 USD financial support from the hotel management.

The new spot will be open in the middle of July, with the winner as restaurant manager, who will be employee of the Marriott Hotel, and will get a share of the restaurant’s or bar’s profit, as well.
