After winning a talent show in Hungary, singer Viktor Király gives it a try in the US, as well, - in the popular TV show The Voice. Viktor is competing, Hungary is supporting.
I remember the year 2008, when I was working as a journalist mainly for glossy magazines, and I had to make an interview with the winner of the Hungarian talent show Megasztár season 4. The show was a bit like American Idol, and the winner, Viktor Király could have been the winner of any international talent shows, in my opinion, because he was talented (with a really good voice), nice, friendly, but I felt that he was a little bit shy, as well.
He might still be humble because it wasn’t him who sent his application to The Voice of US but his sister, Linda. A singer as well, Linda might have thought that his brother has some real chance in this competition – and she can be right.
At the blind auditions, Viktor had quite a success at the coaches, and he picked Adam Levine to be his coach. After that, he faced one of the most experienced contestants, Cassandra Robertson in the third night of battles. The song they performed was Nobody Knows.
‘I feel like I was listening to a record. That’s the best battle I’ve seen’ – said Blake Shelton, right after their performance. Viktor’s mentor, Adam Levine told his contestants that neither of them could have done it better, and after that, de chose Viktor.
