Heyday offers new dimension for partying
Posted by Mia Balogh · May 8, 2017

Partying all night can be boring and exhausting. But what about a Saturday music event that begins at 2 pm and lasts till 10 pm?

When I used to be a high school student, I was not allowed to go out partying with my friends very often because my family was quite worried about a lot of things. They said that it is dangerous to stay out for a girl because they feared for ‘bad people’ and lack of public transport that could take me home at night.

Well, if I was a high school student now in Budapest, the situation would be much easier: I could tell my family about a new possibility, the idea of a three-person mini group called Heyday that offers parties in the afternoon. And the promising opportunity of arriving home shortly after 10 pm.

Following a German idea and a poll in Hungary, Heyday would like to put daytime partying in focus in Budapest, as well. So they would like to create music events for Saturday afternoons once a month (always in the first part of each month).

These parties, to be organized always in different locations could offer an alternative for those who can’t stay out until late at night or simply don’t want to party all night. Yapp, it can be boring and exhausting, and some people can feel that they can’t chill out totally. Not to talk about the hangover and the tiredness on the day after. So the organizers have asked themselves what they could do to change it and started organizing Heyday’s first events.

If you visit Budapest soon, we highly recommend you to give a Heyday party a try. Their first event will be organized on 3 June in Anker’t. From 2 pm to 4 pm, entry is for free and between 4 pm and 7 pm, it is only 1000 HUF. If you decide to join them in the end of the party (maybe before exploring the nightlife in the city or in the ruin pubs), between 7 pm and 10 pm, it will cost 1500 HUF.
