From now on, Budapest has its own seashore
Posted by Budnews · May 29, 2017

Luxury beach opened in the outskirt of Budapest.

There is a beautiful, crystal clear lake on the way to Szentedre: Lupa Lake. It was prohibited to bath or swim in the lake until last year, but then the founder of Sziget Festival came and he changed everything. The beautiful turquoise lake is unique in its size and now it’s better than many seashores.

After a short test run last year's, Gerendai’s team made the area comfortable and safe for bathers and exciting for sports enthusiasts. The huge investment included four hundred square meters of beaches and the whole area was filled with white sand. It has a the unique "Caribbean beach" atmosphere that is hard to imagine.

New Lupa beach has two parts: the cheaper one has the classic beach feeling for really low price (1000 HUF). This smaller area is for those who don’t need extras and just want to refresh themselves. The other – bigger - part is equipped with everything you might wish. This is Lupa Premium beach that cost an average Budapest beach ticket (3000 HUF), but it has considerably better conditions and a much wider range of services. Those who want even more exclusive service can switch to a VIP ticket, which has a canopy bed and a VIP car park, or you can even rent a private beach at the premium section with your own staff.

The new Lupa Lake is high-end in both sport and gastronomy. Here is the largest water adventure park in the country, the hottest diving center in the region, and even the largest wakeboard complex in the Central European region. In addition, traditional and extreme water sports will be available: paddling, sailing, SUP, surf. On the beach, lovers of strand sports can play beach football, beach volleyball, and a new beach sport is debuting: beach-tennis. There will be small electric boats, flyboard and a Blob which is basically a huge inflatable cushion on he water. People can jump on it from a tower and fly high above the water.

"Budapest is a spa town that is extremely rich in thermal waters, but unfortunately there is no natural waterfront spa. This huge, white-sand and turquoise lake, with its new services, a variety of sports and gastronomic offerings and unique beach furniture, competes with the world's most beautiful beaches" - said the owner, Károly Gerendai.
