Top 5 selfie points in Budapest

Don’t let the chilly November days discourage you in exploring our beautiful capital city and taking some fantastic selfies.

1. Margaret Bridge / Margit híd

Budapest is the city of bridges. You will see that you can take amazing snaps from the overpasses crossing the Danube but let us share our favourite selfie spot with you: from Margaret Bridge, you can make fascinating pictures, with Buda Castle or the Parliament Building in the background.
Our tip: it can be windy and not recommended in foggy weather but if there is nice sunshine or especially sunset over there, your pics will be real Instagram hits! ;)

2. Parliament Building

Budapest may be filled with gorgeous architecture and landmarks at every step of the way, but the Hungarian Parliament is not only extremely photogenic in both day and night, it is also Budapest’s most iconic building.
Our tip: wear something unusual, at least some accessories (for example a balloon or a big hat) so you can make that perfect OOTD shot.

3. Fisherman’s Bastion

Buda Castle is also a great place for amazing selfies but one of the best spots there is Fisherman’s Bastion – this is where you’ll get panoramic views of the city from the various lookouts and viewing platforms. Do you need any better background for your pics? ;)
Our tip: you can try to selfie from several angles but we can assure you: all of your shots will have a beautiful background. Don’t forget to smile or to make a funny face to make the pic perfect! ;)

4. St. Stephen’s Basilica

The famous Basilica in the city centre is so tall that you will need some help: use a selfie stick or ask a friend or a tourist on the square to make a snap from you and the immense building.
Our tip: If you would be satisfied to have a selfie only with the top of the building, we recommend you to visit High Note SkyBar on the top of Aria Hotel Budapest.

5. A well-known bath

While you’re in Budapest, embrace the culture of thermal baths. Take a selfie, or get a friend to take pictures of you with for example the legendary Széchenyi Bath in the background. And if you are there, don’t be satisfied with checking out the exterior of the building only, you should soak in the popular thermal water. ;)
Out tip: Perfect location for a #nomakeup shot but don’t forget to protect your smartphone from water and pickpockets. If you have finished taking selfies, close your phone in a locker.
