Posted by Mia Balogh · Feb 23, 2018

We can be very proud on two Hungarians whose photos are among the best ones at Mobile Photography Awards.

Hungarian people are considered as talented in several professions and we can now say that photography is one of these, too. Because we have just read that photos of two Hungarians are among the best ones of the 7th Mobile Photography Awards. Vince Keresnyei’s ‘Time Traveller’ and Piroska Piroska Boros’s ‘Hello’ got honourable mentions in two different categories.

Keresnyei’s photo was nominated at the Street Photography category while Boros’s picture participated at Macro & Details category. These photographers can be very proud on themselves – not only because they achieved such a big success at an international photo contest but also because the photos nominated for the contest must have been made with a smartphone or tablet. Corrections made on a computer are not allowed.

About MPA photo competition:

The Mobile Photography Awards were founded in 2011 to recognize and celebrate the talent and imagery of the mobile photo & art communities. Alongside their annual competition (October-December), they have themed exhibits with international open calls throughout the year. Since 2011, the Mobile Photography Awards has produced more than a dozen successful exhibits in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Toronto, Melbourne, San Jose, and more.

Winning photographs are chosen from thousands of pics nominated for the competition, by a jury of twenty photographic professionals, journalists, teachers, artists and leaders of the photography, mobile photography and art worlds.
