After taking 5 factors in consideration, Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music is in the first 100 of the best universities for performing arts.
The British Quacquarelli Symonds’s (QS) made their 2019 list recently, and according to this compilation, the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest is ranked 51st out of the universities for performing arts.
Aside from the well-known Hungarian Academy of music, there are only two other institutions in Central and Eastern Europe that could make it to the top 100: the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Bolshoi Ballet.
The list makers at QS take five factors into consideration when ranking the universities: the school’s reputation in the academic sphere, how frequently academic pieces of work are quoted, the ratio of students to teachers, the lives of the schools’ alumni and the last one is the openness of the institution and the ratio of international students and teachers.
