Citadel is among the mostly unused areas of Budapest for sure, but fortunately, this has changed a bit lately, since the start of the summer season. Citadel is the venue of the Botellón parties two times a year, and now good drinks moved in permanently. 1Xfent is opened for the summer season with a quality but relaxed atmosphere.

They have a well designed small building by Hello Wood group that fits into the monumental environment, so the heritage protection finally gave its blessing. The simple design doesn't try to be more than it is, it's all about the panorama instead. The chairs of the terrace may be familiar from the Balaton grills, but you can also sit on the stairs.

As for the offering: the selection includes bottled beers of Hübris brewery (Pils, APA, IPA and wheat beer) and draft Lager and Pils, as well as the Hungarian wines of Bortársaság and short drinks. It is a special pleasure to note that the cups are made of disposable but compostable plastic, because there is no possibility to wash the dishes up there. In terms of programs, the plan is to have a stronger live acoustic event on Thursdays, and a Sunday sunset lunch over the city.
