Christmas program guide

What to do on the 3 days of Christmas if you spend the holidays far from home, in Budapest.

While we can choose from several fairs and programs during the advent period, the 3 days of Christmas are blank pages. We have no easy task if we want to do something. The restaurants are open of course, just as the wellness and other hotels, but if you would love to enjoy the city as a tourist, you might be in trouble. But don't worry, we collected some program offers to do on 24, 25 and 26 December.

Christmas boat trip with dinner and live music

Evening boat trip on the Danube with delicacies and live music is designed for guests who would love to have their dinner in a romantic atmosphere. Perfect if you want to see the city, have a good dinner, and also want to have some music program at once. The program takes place on Christmas Eve, December 24, from 5:30 pm and 9:30 pm.

Let's spend the first day of Christmas with a breathtaking concert in the beautiful neo-baroque theater of the Danube Palace! Don't miss this unforgettable music tour "á la hongroise": listen the most beautiful Hungarian and foreign music pieces from Zoltán Kodály, Hector Berlioz, Johannes Brahms, Imre Kálmán and Johann Strauss.

Christmas concert – the audience choose

Anything can happen on the second day of Christmas, because the audience contributes in creating the program of this concert! This unique concert is conducted by Iván Fischer and always tailored to the audience, as he says: “This concert is like a wrapped gift, just like when a little kid tells you what he wants for Christmas, but he also expects some surprises.”
