What to do in Budapest if you are already here, but nothing is open.
Tourism does not have easy time now with more and more institutions being temporarily closed in Budapest due to the spread of the coronavirus. But what if you are already here and trying to get the most out of the situation? Well, there are several things that you can still do:
There are no restrictions on sightseeing walking tours yet, and as the streets are much more deserted, they mean far less risk. Check out Google, look out for recommended sightseeing routes, and take a walk in this beautiful spring time.
Hike! There are countless beautiful hiking trails in the Buda Hills, which are generally considered easy terrain, and almost all of them have a lookout tower with beautiful view of the city. We have already written about the most beautiful hiking trails here, check it out and go!
The opening hours of the restaurants are not affected by the restrictions, so there is nothing to stop you from getting to know Hungarian gastronomy. There is no need to worry about the infection, as restaurants are more disinfected than ever and most places also take care not to sit guests directly next to each other.
