Budapest reopens: cinemas, theaters, museums and spas may be opened by the end of the month
Posted by Budnews · Jun 10, 2020

The government will decide in mid-June.

After the long months of epidemic, it seems like life can finally return to normal. Outdoor baths, gardens, restaurants may already be open, and soon all other cultural institutions may welcome guests.

Hungarian Parliament will vote on terminating the general restrictions on June 16, and if this will happen, the current restrictions will be replaced by epidemiological preparedness. As part of this, restrictions on events and entertainment venues will remain in place, but theaters, museums, cinemas and spas may open after the end of the emergency.

The measures concerning the protective distance, the use of masks, and those regarding events and entertainment venues are examined by the operational group, and there is no change in them yet. The shopping time slot between 9am and 12 pm for the elderly people will also remain for the time being.
