In a few days, the historic Gellért Bath opens its gates again – with more affordable ticket prices.
In March, all the historic baths in Budapest closed because of the pandemic. Many have reopened since then but one of the most well-known, Gellért Bath remained closed. Now, it will reopen: after 1 September, we can visit this amazing place again – and with more friendly ticket prices.
Let’s see how the ticket prices have changed
The reopening also means lower prices in Gellért Bath, which has been not only one of the most popular but also one of the most expensive historic bath in the city.
Before the pandemic, a daily ticket with a locker on weekdays cost 6300HUF (18 Euros) and 6600HUF (19 Euros) on weekends. From 1 September, the same tickets are going to cost 3900HUF (11 Euros) on weekdays and 4500HUF (13 Euros) on weekends.
Renting a locker for 15 visits used to cost 81 400HUF (242 Euros), but now it is going to become a lot cheaper, 51 000HUF (146 Euros).
The so-called Zsigmond Clubcard continues to provide some discounts at the bath: with this card, you can buy a ticket for 2900 HUF (8.3 Euros) all days of the week.
It seems that only one thing can be more expensive: renting a cabin meant 400 or 500 HUF (1.1 – 1.4 Euro) extra charge per visit, depending on weekdays or weekend, but now it is going to cost 1000 HUF (2.8 Euros) all week.
