Christmas market to move online in 2020
Posted by Mia Balogh · Oct 22, 2020

The main Christmas market in Budapest, on Vörösmarty Square won’t be organized this year – well, at least not in its traditional form.

One more thing to change in 2020: we must say goodbye to this year without taking a walk at the most well-known Christmas market of the city, traditionally held on Vörösmarty Square. Some good news: we can still shop online.

The organizers of the event decided to do so because the second wave of the pandemic is expected to reach its peak during the weeks of advent in Hungary. But they still want to help local craftspeople and artisans so they decided to present the Christmas fair online.

‘The public will still be able to buy unique Hungarian handicraft products as gifts through a festive web portal showcasing artisanal and creative workshops. More details to follow’ – WeLoveBudapest.com writes.
