The new 100E bus will give you a better and cheaper alternative to get to the city centre from the airport.
Travelling between the airport and the city of Budapest was not quite easy recently: you could take the metro to Kőbánya-Kispest and change there to the bus 200E to catch your flight. Or you could take a taxi – that’s more simple than managing to navigate in the Hungarian public transport system but it is more expensive, that’s for sure.
Now BKK (Budapest Transport Centre) is offering a quite good solution for everyone who wants to get to the airport from the city centre, or back. A new bus line will serve passengers from 8 July between Deák Ferenc Square and Liszt Ferenc International Airport, BKK has announced.
The buses numbered 100E will depart in every half hour on all days of the week. So every day, the first bus will depart from Deák Square at 4 AM, making it possible to can catch even the earliest flights, and the last vehicle will depart from 12:30 AM from the airport so the passengers of the last flights can also reach the city centre by bus.
Buses will stop at Kálvin Square, as well, and a one-way ticket on these vehicles will cost 900 HUF.
