CNN’s 1-minute-long video about Hungary made our day

CNN’s Create team tried to show the main landmarks and beauties of Hungary in a one-minute video, check out the results here!

It is easy to fall in love with Hungary and Budapest, that’s what tourists arriving from other countries experience here all the time. The blond outdoor swimmer, Vivienne Rickman-Poole feels the same way: she tells us what she thinks of Hungary and Budapest in the following video.

The 1-minute-long short film has been made by CNN’s Create team about Hungary. It is a collaboration between the Hungarian Tourism Agency and CNN and it depicts Hungary as the ‘Country of Waters’. It is also special because it presents the country’s known and hidden treasures from the point of view of a tourist, who has never been to Hungary before.

CNN’s Create team arrived to Hungary in July and spent 5 days with shooting this footage. They didn’t have a detailed script written in advance, they just knew the shooting locations chosen previously. The final narration and plot was put together based on the protagonist’s impressions and opinion.

And we think that Hungary, Budapest and the people living here couldn’t have enchanted Vivienne more. She talks about how beautiful the country is, and how proud the nation is of their culture and history. She felt very welcomed in Hungary. She even highlights some details concerning the waters, for example the colours of Lake Balaton.

The shooting production began there, at Lake Balaton, then they travelled to the Lake Cave of Tapolca. They also shot some scenes at the tarn at Mountain Megyer and at the Danube Bend. At Budapest, they visited Gellért and Széchenyi Baths, the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Chain Bridge and at the High Note Sky Bar.
