Ambassador Lindsay – as he is known on Instagram – asked some special help from Hungarians before his language exam. Isn’t he an adorable man?!
Iain Lindsay, the British Ambassador to Hungary has already impressed us a couple of times with his devotion to our culture and language, but now he has really melted our hearts. On 25 September, he posted a video on Instagram asking Hungarian people for some help and advice before his Hungarian language exam for the following week.
He said that he’ll join an intensive course at University of Pécs before the exam, and that he would be happy to receive useful advice for the exam in the comment section. And he added that he would be happy to meet Hungarian people who could wish him good luck in person.

More than one hundred people have commented the video. Someone wrote that the most important thing is to stay calm, others advised to bring a favourite pen a lucky tie to the exam. Mr. Lindsay replied that he won’t be wearing a tie but he will wear his lucky socks. Others said that watching Hungarian movies and taking some time to relax would be nice, too.
Well, we suppose that his language exam was successful because he said thank you for all who helped him with advices on Instagram with a Petőfi poem – in Hungarian, of course. ;)
